The United Arab Emirates

Eid Al Adha mubarak is widely known as a four-day public holiday within the UAE. People wear new clothes and visit friends and relatives after performing sacrificial ceremonies and seek blessing from the Almighty. 

Going out for dining, shopping, and entertainment are quite common during these four festive days. In Dubai, huge arrangements are organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishments. Moreover, Ibn Batuta Mall, city centre Midriff, Mercato Mall, etc. are the foremost famous places to feel the festivity! That's how people celebrate Eid Al Adha around the world.

Pakistan

The Eid begins with morning prayers within the mosque, followed by religious Qurbani. The most important celebration takes place at the Faisal Mosque in Islamabad. 




No Eid celebration is complete in Pakistan without henna and females apply beautiful designs of henna on their hands. Sheer Khurma is cooked in households and shared with friends and families.

Turkey

Kurban Bayramı, that is, Eid ul Adha is that the most prominent festival of Turkey and is widely known as a 4-5 day public holiday. Lavish meals are prepared after Qurbani and shared with friends and other loved ones during this day. 

Turkey has common places for sacrifices and rituals are often performed at these centres only. People donate food, clothes, sweets, etc. during this day.

Egypt

Eid al Adha is marked with a special meal in Egypt and Egyptians start their morning with meat cubes or stir-fried liver for breakfast which is served with Fatta. 

Other popular dishes of the festival are Ro’a’ and lamb cutlets. Locals dress in new outfits and plan family reunions and host feasts. They also feed deliciously cooked food to poor or needy people that can barely afford it.

India

Eid ul Adha is popularly referred to as Bakrid in India. The celebration starts with morning prayers at mosques and non-secular centres, followed by Qurbani and distributing flesh among economically weaker masses and poor people. 

Tasty foods are cooked and shared with loved ones. People wear new clothes and plan a visit to mosques and dargahs, followed by community feasts or in-house parties.
