7 Reasons Why People Love Eid

Happy Eid! Here are 7 reasons why people love Eid. Eid-Al-Adha and Eid-Al-Fitr Mubarak!

Eid ul Adha is not usually as popular as Eid ul Fitr, but there are many reasons that this Eid is also spectacular. Here are 7 reasons why people love Eid ul Adha.

1. You get Eid gifts and receive money(Eidi)-

While this tradition is more well-known for other Eid as in Eid ul Fitr, it can still be on this Eid called Bakra Eid or Eid-Al-Adha as well. Mainly if you are younger in age. Therefore don't even feel wrong about leaving some information to your parents about this wonderful Eid.

2. This Eid is equally important, if not more than Eid ul Fitr, as in Eid ul Adha there is not the month of fasting as like in Eid Ul Fitr. So there is not as much enthusiasm about the holiday as other Eid, but the faith still has religious importance.
However, it commemorates the sacrifice that Prophet Ibrahim or Abraham commanded to make by God. He was asked to sacrifice his son, but a Ram(sheep or goat) appeared instead. This is why this day is also known as the day of sacrifice, and even today we continue to sacrifice animals.

3. Connect with your friends and family-

Is it Eid-Al-Adha or Eid-Ul-Fitr it does not matter at all, your phone will ringing or buzzing with possibly a million calls plus texts from family and friends too. This is a fabulous chance to reconnect with relatives and friends whom you haven't spoken from months or years.

4. You get to wear new clothes, who doesn't like wearing new clothes?

It is the tradition and the Sunnah of the Prophet to wear new clothes on Eid, whether it is Eid-Al-Adha or Eid-Ul-Fitr. So if you found an outfit in your wardrobe that you are saving for a special occasion, this is it. Or this is the perfect excuse to go shopping and get a brand new outfit for this Eid. And now you got a new dress.

5. You probably eating meat all day in different-different dishes on Eid-Al-Adha(Bakra Eid).

Remember that one thing we talked about earlier of sacrificing the animal, all the meat that comes out of it does not go waste. It is Sunnah (Muslim tradition) to share it with others too and have some with yourself. So maybe you will see your freezer full for a while. If you are a vegetarian, then this cannot be such good news for you.

6. There is always food involved, even if you are not non-vegetarian, there is always a ton of other delicious food too that is prepared on Eid. Eid is a special tradition, and every people love it. So keep your eyes peeled for some of your favourites dishes. That's the reason why people love Eid.

7. Eid prayer just same as in Eid ul Fitr, the day of Eid ul Adha begins with Eid Salah or prayer as it is. This is a great opportunity to visit the mosque and offer some extra prayers before starting the day of celebration. Eid Mubarak to all!
